Abstract

Background. The goal of the article is to study and analyze the parameters of the acid-base balance of blood in the second and third trimester of pregnancy without complications.
Materials and methods. The authors investigated arterial and venous blood of 80 patients with uncomplicated pregnancies and 32 non-pregnant women to determine the parameters of acid-base balance of blood by the «ABL5» gas analyzer of the Radiometer company (Denmark).
Results. It was found that the blood of women with physiological pregnancy accumulates acidic products of metabolism, reducing blood alkaline reserves – carbonate and protein buffers. The most significant oscillationsof the acid-base balance of blood were observed in the III trimester of pregnancy. But all of the observed changes were compensated due to the lack of the blood pH shift.

Key words

pregnancy, acid-base balance of blood, laboratory diagnostics blood.
